Superior borders the UP to the north. We visit the every time we can, in all seasons. If you’ve never been or would like to spend more time there, here’s my suggestion for the RV Tour of the UP. And the first thing I suggest is that you try to avoid black fly season which usually starts in mid June and runs through mid-July. The black flies are most prevalent along the lake Superior shoreline but you’ll find them, and giant mosquitoes, most active during that time. The best time to visit is fall. Anytime after Labor Day until the snow flies towards the end of October.

Park, responded to this reviewResponded May 13, Thank you for your review and for staying at our rv resort. We do, in fact, have seasonal campers that stay with us from May 1st until we close on Nov. There is not one mobile home in our resort. Our seasonal sites are mostly back from the lakefront leaving the majority of our sites closest to our waterfront to our vacationers such as yourselves. We appreciate your review of site as it is one of the most sought after in the park and is often booked up to a year in advance as are many of our sites.
Our seasonal campers are the nicest and most curteous you will find anywhere. We have never had a complaint about them not respecting our campers on other sites. Quite the opposite is true. We have been told repeatedly over our 36 years of running a very successful and highly rated park that our seasonal campers are helpful and welcoming to all. As far as children in our park, that is absolutely true! We love families and offer free programs for kids, such as wagon rides, games programs, movies and more.
Children playing outside can be loud as they should be and they are welcome to play in the water anywhere within our lakefront property.
